FURTHER INFORMATION ON THE STATE OF IMPLEMENTATION

Wastewater sludge is mainly used as fertilising products, especially in landscaping. The recycling of phosphorus as sludge-based fertilising products has been examined. The national development plan on the blue bioeconomy was completed in 2016. One of the aims of the plan is to encourage the utilisation of opportunities offered by the bioeconomy and circular economy in water services.
