At the beginning of 2019, the amendments to the Environmental Protection Act entered into force to implement a general notification procedure for farm animal facilities. In addition, a government decree (138/2019) governing farm animal facilities was issued under the Environmental Protection Act. The guidelines for environmental protection in animal husbandry were revised in 2021.
