Use of liquid recycled nutrients in agriculture (Nesteravinne)

DESCRIPTION OF ACTION

The project developed methods and equipment for the application of liquid recycled fertilisers, especially recycled nitrogen fertilisers (ammonium sulphate, ammonia solution, reject water concentrate and starch potato cell sap) suitable for Finnish conditions. In addition, the project studied the use of ammonium sulphate as a means to improve the efficacy of glyphosate. The project assessed the properties of the products, tested and developed machinery and equipment, investigated yield responses to nitrogen contained in the products in field tests and communicated the results to users and other stakeholders.
