DESCRIPTION OF ACTION
The primary objective of the project is to determine the long-term fertilising effect of phosphorus contained in sewage sludge. One of the aims of the project is to carry out a risk assessment of end products derived from municipal sewage sludge based on the concentrations of harmful substances, bioaccumulation and genotoxicity testing. In addition, the project will investigate the effects of pyrolysis used as a further processing method of sludge, on the usability of sludge-derived phosphorus in crop production and on the concentrations of harmful substances in the sludge.
