DESCRIPTION OF ACTION
The purpose of the seafood guide is to provide consumers with advice on responsible fish choices and increase their awareness of the state of fish stocks so that consumers can participate in the prevention of overfishing. The recommendations issued are based on the state of fish stocks and the sustainability of fishing methods. In the case of farmed fish, the environmental impact is also taken into account. Choices in line with the guide help to improve the state of fish stocks and enhance the regulation of fishing. The WWF also communicates and issues statements on other issues relating to fish and fishing.
