SAVE – Improving the water quality of the Archipelago Sea by applying gypsum to fields

DESCRIPTION OF ACTION

The SAVE pilot project investigated the suitability of gypsum treatment for reducing erosion and phosphorus loading from agricultural fields in Paimio and Lieto. The project issued an information package, “Gypsum amendment of fields as a water protection measure in agriculture”, and policy recommendations.
