DESCRIPTION OF ACTION
Saaristomeren Suojelurahasto of the Centrum Balticum Foundation supports local measures and activities to save the Archipelago Sea. The vision of the fund is a viable sea and an archipelago that is a good place to live in and that provides opportunities for livelihood and recreation. The fund provides funding for concrete water protection measures and projects that contribute to the effective prevention of the cause of the poor condition of the Archipelago Sea: nutrient leaching into the sea. During the past ten years, the fund has funded almost 50 water protection projects.
