DESCRIPTION OF ACTION
The aim of the RAVITA DEMO project was to test an innovative nutrient recovery solution on the scale of a small wastewater treatment plant in a sustainable way with respect to water protection. In the process, phosphorus is recovered directly from treated wastewater by precipitation and processed into phosphoric acid. The aim is to further develop the process and to gather information relevant to commercialisation. Product development has mainly focused on the usability of the process and on end products of interest to customers.
