DESCRIPTION OF ACTION
The project continues the earlier Maa-Bio project. The aim is to study the centralised optimisation of the operation of decentralised liquid manure processing plants and field nutrient balances, and the impact of the new manure-solids bedding produced by the processing plants on nutrient cycling on farms and in the process, as well as the optimal product properties of the manure-solids bedding that will enable farms to start selling it. In addition, the project examines the fertiliser properties of the liquid fertiliser fraction produced by the processing plant, and the effects of quality optimisation on yields and reduced use of pesticides.
