DESCRIPTION OF ACTION
The book is the first comprehensive non-fiction book on the underwater marine environment of the Baltic Sea. It won the WWF nature book of the year award in 2017. In addition to journalists, 28 researchers and scientists at the Finnish Environment Institute, Metsähallitus, Parks & Wildlife Finland, the Geological Survey of Finland, the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) and Åbo Akademi University contributed to the book. The book is edited by Markku Viitasalo, Kirsi Kostamo, Eeva-Liisa Hallanaro, Wilma Viljanmaa, Suvi Kiviluoto, Jan Ekebom and Penina Blankett.
