DESCRIPTION OF ACTION
The project assesses the suitability of plasma technology and ammonia solution (9–15%) for recycling nitrogen and reducing nitrogen loading on water bodies in organic farming and in nutrient cycling by biogas plants. Plasma technology is used to add nitrogen to fertiliser products or manure from the atmosphere as nitrate or nitrite. Ammonia solution is produced by biogas plants when nitrogen is removed from the reject. The project includes field tests and demonstrations to disseminate the results.
