Baltic Sea Action for Biodiversity

DESCRIPTION OF ACTION

The aim is to encourage private owners to protect underwater marine biodiversity in their waters. The project utilises the extensive data collected by the Finnish Inventory Programme for the Underwater Marine Environment VELMU on the locations of valuable underwater habitats. In addition to the Baltic Sea Action Group (BSAG), the project involves the Tvärminne Zoological Station, the University of Helsinki, the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) and Åbo Akademi University.
